for the Te Kinga and Kotuku trip we went to Arthurs pass outdoor education centre and the mt cheeseman lodge. At the education centre we looked for lots of kea's and other amazing native birds but I must say that the beds where uncomfortable but the food was amazing.
At the cheeseman lodge the beds were quite nice and the food was great and our principle brought some little sleds for us to slide on. It was fun skiing at cheeseman and we slid down on the little sleds that I mentioned before. Overall camp was awesome great foods and good beds it was a bit cold but it was fun.

Maths Weight Experiment
For maths this week we did a weight experiment on making paper boats and seeing how many marbles we could fit in the boat until it sank . We made big boats at first that fit more marbles. the first time i got 46 marbles that weighed 250 grams. Then we tried them with a smaller boat and i managed 20 and it weighed 125 grams. When we did that we took photos. It was good fun doing the origami and because i got there in the end.

Nutrition Blog.
Nutrition blog.
By Grace.
One day our class went on a trip to Greymouth to do fun things like swimming, reading at the library, having lunch at Dixon park and going to the supermarket to get ingredients to make yummy smoothies. We got to meet a nutritionist named Jessica, she had taught our class how to look at labels of food! We got to go to the pool before we went to the supermarket.
It was really fun! And after all that we had a peaceful trip to the library for a few minutes. After all of it we went back to Lake Brunner School.

The Ghost Town Of Waiuta
The ghost town of Waiuta by Grace Ellery - Picard.
Waiuta is a place of ghosts that was abandoned many years ago. It used to be a little town of 600 people. It was a gold mining area that has collapsed years ago and now it has been left to nothing but nature.
The old stuff
The mine was what founded Waiuta. For many years it has been abandoned along with an old ghost school. Things have gotten real old through the years but it is still remembered for the gold mine.
Places to stay
Now Waiuta has a big lodge. This is an image of the lodge. The lodge has a lot of space. Also there is a big long walk to a really nice hut called Big River Hut, here is a photo to the side.
It is a really nice place to stay, come on down and get to Waiuta, the Ghost Town.
